Schools & Community Events
Displays for the moments a school comes together for.
Homecomings, graduations, district celebrations, and community events — planned around the calendar, the campus, and the audience.
For more than three decades, Southwest Fireworks — a Scottsdale-based, family-owned company — has proudly partnered with schools and community organizations across Arizona.
School displays combine campus logistics, district approvals, and student-safety considerations that don't apply to other venues. We plan around all of it — the calendar, the campus, the traffic pattern, and the parents.
Whether the audience is a stadium of alumni or a middle-school family night, the same rigorous safety and planning approach applies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for schools & community events.
- Can we fire from a school stadium or football field?
- Often yes, subject to a site walk and coordination with the fire marshal. Stadiums with adequate fallout distance are common venues for homecoming and season-opener displays.
- How far in advance do we need to plan?
- For homecoming and graduation, three to six months is comfortable. Booster-club fundraisers and community events can often move faster off-peak.
- Do you help with district approvals?
- Yes. We coordinate with district administration and prepare the documentation your risk manager and the fire marshal will need.
- How loud is a school-scale display?
- Shell selection drives volume. School-scale programs use shell sizes appropriate for the audience distance, and we'll advise honestly on what fits your venue.
- Can the display be timed to the halftime program?
- Yes. Displays timed to a specific program moment — halftime, ceremony end, or a musical cue — are common and we'll plan the cueing accordingly.
