Private Events
Designed for one specific moment.
Weddings, milestone celebrations, and private gatherings — planned around a defining moment and the venue you've chosen.
Southwest Fireworks is a family-owned Arizona display company based in Scottsdale, planning private-event fireworks throughout the state since 1993.
A private-event display is a personal moment made public. Our approach starts with what you want the moment to feel like — the first-dance finale, the surprise reveal, the last minute of the evening — and works backward into design and logistics.
Suitability, effect selection, and duration depend heavily on the venue. Sightlines, fallout radius, noise considerations, and whether the location can host aerial product all shape the plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for private events.
- Can we have fireworks at our wedding venue?
- It depends on the venue and the AHJ. Many resort and estate venues in the Southwest can host aerial displays subject to a site walk and approvals; some cannot. Share the venue and date when you inquire so we can advise realistically.
- How much does a private display cost?
- Cost is driven by shell count, shell size, complexity, music synchronization, and venue logistics. We'll scope a range during discovery based on the moment you want to create.
- Can the display be timed to the first dance or a specific moment?
- Yes. Music-synchronized programming and precise cueing to a specific program moment are common private-event engagements.
- How much lead time do we need?
- Two to four months is comfortable for most private events. Peak wedding season and destination venues benefit from more lead time.
- How is this handled discreetly?
- Private engagements are managed quietly. Setup can be staged around your event flow, and communications and imagery are on your terms.
